Fine Arts Camp II

If all of the world is a stage……

Make this your summer to be in the spotlight!

FINE ARTS CAMP & FINE ARTS CAMP II

July 12th through July 23rd + performance rehearsals

SouthEast Wisconsin Performing Arts (SEWPA) is once again proud to offer Fine Arts Camp and introduces their new summer program, Fine Arts Camp II.

Geared toward students in grades kindergarten through 6th grade, Fine Arts Camp and Fine Arts Camp II offers area grade and middle school youth the opportunity to be immersed in the classical fine arts.  Created and taught by local area artists and professionals, your child will receive over 25 hours of instruction in voice, drama, and dance in a fun and encouraging environment.  At the end of the two weeks, the students will get to demonstrate their newly honed talents in a stage performance along side SEWPA’s Opera ala Carte participants.

Our 2010 Opera ala Carte and Fine Arts Camp productions promise to be the best yet.  Fine Arts Camp participants will be in La Cenerentola (the story of Cinderella) and The Magic Flute. Your child could be singing, acting, dancing, or all three in one or both of these magical stage productions.

Camp participants also have additional, but not required, performance opportunities in the Opera ala Carte’s presentation of Carmen, July 30th and 31st.  In this production, Fine Arts Camp students will become part of the children’s chorus and will become “street children” running into the market place, imitating the soldiers, and cheering the Toreador.

Whether in the classroom, or on stage, students in SEWPA’s Fine Arts Camp and Fine Arts Camp II will gain skills and memories that will last a lifetime!
