(Students entering 7th grade and beyond)
Participants in Opera ala Carte are instructed in voice, drama, and dance but local area professionals with a focus on good technique; creating solid building blocks of musicality, presentation and movement.
In addition to the highest quality vocal repertoire and exceptional teachers, participants have the opportunity to be involved in the production of each opera from staging and blocking, to set design and costume construction, giving them skills that will enhance their performance experiences now and in the future.
This year Opera ala Carte offers a variety of rehearsal and performance opportunities!
Opera ala Carte Session I ~ For those participants limited on time or with many commitments during the summer months, there is an intense four week rehearsal schedule starting May 23rd leading to a performance of two shortened operas June 24th and 25th, 2011.
Opera ala Carte Session II~ If you enjoy large stage productions and a less intense rehearsal schedule, Session II is for you. Most closely resembling our past Opera ala Carte programs in rehearsal schedule and performances, this session will include our large stage chorus production ans will involve our Fine Arts Camp and Fine Arts Camp II participants. Rehearsals will begin June 27th with performances on July 28th through July 31st.

2011 enrollment is by audition only and participants will be placed in one or more opera according to their schedule and ability.
Tuition: $300 for one session, $400 for both plus a $25.00 costume deposit.
